Mentors

As you start on your career journey there is no reason you have to do it alone.  There are many people (military veterans and civilians) who have gone before you who are willing to mentor you through the process.  I highly recommend you sign up for a mentor and set up recurring meetings at an interval that meets your needs to aide you on your job search.

Having a mentor will give you someone to talk to and explain your challenges, enable you to have  a person who will provide voice of encouragement when things are tough and enable you to network and meet new people and learn about new opportunities.  Below are a list of a few organizations who have set up mentorship programs to help veterans.  If you have had a positive experience with a veteran’s mentorship group that is not listed please let me know and I will add it to the list.
