The Defense Careers HQ website is an all-in-one resource for DoD job seekers–the likes of which I have not seen elsewhere. I particularly recommend checking out the Career Fields section of the website. This section offers information that outlines career progression in your field, salaries, associated professional organizations, relevant training and certifications, education suggestions, volunteer opportunities, recommended reading, and job search guidance. For my field, which is Cybersecurity, the Cybersecurity page of the Career Fields section provides a link detailing approved baseline certifications for different Cybersecurity position categories. In the face of a huge number of Cybersecurity certification options, this is helping me pinpoint what Cybersecurity certification I need to focus on next.
